Started a news bulletin on campus that updated students with latest information on topics like sports, entertainment, politics and jokes from around the globe. Working with a small team of we demonstrated innovative abilities that enabled our publication standout on campus. The brand went on to organize the first UNIBEN Talent Quest which engaged over 1000 students through auditions and then over 3000 youths at the main event. The main judge at the event was Late Sir Victor Uwaifo MON JP and the winner went home with hundred thousand naira (#100,000) and a recording deal with Lock-Down Entertainment studios.
I represented the youths of Edo South Senatorial District at the National Yout Parliament, ensuring that the voices of the Nigerian youths were heard regarding government policies that affect the youths directly. The parliament was instrumental to the enactment of the “Not Too Young to Run” bill by the National Assembly in 2018. I networked and built relationships with external professionals that were crucial to aiding and supporting young people. Attended and participated in meetings, conferences and conventions. Worked collaboratively with other parliamentary members to achieve our common goals.
Collaborated with relevant stakeholders to formulate and implement policies that
align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, addressing local
priorities and challenges.
– Co-authored an online poster presentation at the conference on the topic “Elevating
Sustainable Cities and Climate-Resilient Solutions: The Edo NEWMAP E-Trash Initiative as a Case Study.”
